NEW! PROJECT HUDSON VALLEY - Yonkers, NY - Sewer Cover Trivet

Sewers of the World by Vernakular is a project that examines the diversity and beauty of the ubiquitous, yet overlooked sewer covers we find all over the world. Vernakular has scoured over 75 cities and 20 different countries (and counting), in search of unique and inspiring sewer covers.

PROJECT HUDSON VALLEY
This trivet features an image of a sewer cover Yonkers, NY.

The depiction of eels on this sewer cover is an important part of the daylighting (the practice of returning it to a natural waterway by opening up and cleaning it up) of the Saw Mill River. With its high gloss, the imagery on the coasters is stunningly realistic appearing almost three-dimensional. A great conversation piece. It can endure up to 400 degree fahrenheit heat.
