Vernakular's second series by New York photographer, Neil Ryder Hoos, focuses on the textures and details of urban life in
New York City. In roaming the city, he has amassed an interesting collection of images of peeling posters and other layers,
which, at first glance, look more like illustrations or paintings than photographs. His photographs bring attention to these
everyday objects, which we begin to see in fresh, new ways.
